Christmas Morning: Supplies Were Delivered in the Drop Zone

  • Mood: bored
  • Music: nothing because I'm in the basement D:
  • Thoughts: maybe some more turok?

Okay, so I'm kinda annoyed right now because everywhere in my house, things are acting like poopfaces. I don't know what the hell is going on, but it is. My laptop especially is being a big pain in the ass. In the next couple days I'm going to back up everything that's important to me, and then see if I can bring it to him to have it cleaned up. Hopefully it'll make the thing like new again, and things will be all good. ANYWAY, I'm gonna end up re-typing what I had written before my internet had a seizure on me, and decided to erase my post. Seeing as it wasn't too much, I don't mind.

So being bored, I decided to pop around Facebook and see what I could see. Mostly just going around to different groups, seeing if any of them looked interesting. There were a couple the sprung up because of my school's horrible pep-rallies. I found those amusing.

But I found one from GI. It was a group that was about his blog. He posted the URL in the description along with "Do you want to know the real me...?" And I thought that was a fantastic idea, so I decided to poke around. And it was actually really cool. He had some videos, and a handful of entries. There were a couple about his internal conflict about how he spends so much of his time with the military and military related stuff, and wonders if he's spending too much time with it.

What disapointed me was in one of his entries, he talked about a fight he got into. And that's what kinda made me sad. Because he's talking about all this other stuff that I was getting into, and then he gets taunted by a few kids, and beats them up. What then bothered me more, was that in the comments, people were commending him. "Good job for showing those fags who's boss!" "CAP for life! Horah!" "Now they know the army means buisness!"

I'm sitting there thinking, how can you be happy about this? Somebody said some shit to you and you attacked three guys, and let the fourth one run because he was scared that you dropped three of his friends? How can people that want to be in the army be happy about this? Soldiers are meant to be keepers of the peace. They're not always going to welcomed with open arms. And just because some teenager lobs a rock at a marine doesn't mean the marine should mow him down.

I don't know.

He hasn't posted anything in the blog since July.

I've noticed that too. There were like 8 of my friends that started blogs. And I'm the only one that still has a functioning one. Dani brought hers back to life, but hasn't posted in it for a while. The weird thing is, I really didn't even want a blog. Me and Rhys were just like "Lets see who can set one up faster?" And now, I don't know what I'd do without this thing to express myself with. I'd probably be in How's office a lot more than I am now, because really, this thing keeps me from going completly insane.

Okay! Christmas Time!

This was officially the chrismas of practicality. Everything that was given to me, I can see myself using many times in the future. Even the present I got from Yellow. I'll just end up wearing it all the time.

Broadsword! I'm very very happy with it. It's a thick metal, so it doesn't do that weird wobbly thing. Although the handle is a little fatter than what I'm used to, it's definitely going to be fun to use. I'll also need to replace the tassles. They're really really cheap, and I wouldn't mind a nicer material.

Laptop sleeve. I've needed one for a while...I just have been cheap and haven't bought myself one now I just need to get my laptop in perfect order again.

Roller blades! Although I don't have much time to actually go out and blade, I'm very glad to have them. I love to roller blade almost as much as I love to freeline. And seeing as my feet aren't going to get any bigger, it doesn't matter if they lay around for a little while. They're really nice though. 7 years ago, I would've killed someone for them. Maybe we'll go back to Illinois and I can play some street hockey again or just do some basic skating around.

Alarm Clock. This one made me laugh really. I'm going to need something to wake me up during my summer travels, and knowing me, I'd leave out the alarm clock because I hate them with a passion.

This little glove thing with an ice scraper. Hard to explain...but if you've seen Enter the Dragon, imagine this. That one guy who didn't have a hand, but had that metal box thing instead. Just, instead of his little knife attachments, just put the head of an ice scraper on it, and there you go! It's pretty funny looking, but it's going to be incredibly useful.

Dog tags. They don't have my name on it, but one says "ilyfae" and the other has the Kanji for Love engraved on it. It makes me feel slightly like a character from an Anime when I wear it, and I'm sure I'll find a very symbolic meaning for it at some point.

Hotwheel cars! This is just proof that even though I know my parents don't know me all the way, they know me enough to understand that I still appeciate certain things. I loved hotwheels cars as a kid, and I still haven't been able to quite shake that habit. I'll still play with them from time to time. And besides...who doesn't love the Mach 5? hahaha

I dunno what my other stuff will be, but I'm pretty content with what I have now. I have other christmas wishes, but they're more along the lines of "I wish this and that would happen..." of course, I know they WONT happen. But hey. Even if the magic I used to believe it doesn't actually exist, there's got to be some magic out there somewhere. Right?

I'll probably post more later tonight.

Hope you all had a good christmas. Or are having a good one, depending on when you're reading it.

Out~
