Three Day Bang

  • Mood: more awake than when I started
  • Music: New One ~ Rodrigo Y Gabriela
  • Thoughts: aasdlfja
I'm actually pretty sleepy despite the amount of sleep that I got last night. Although, to be truthful, I ended up tossing and turning a lot before I actually got something. Though, there was also a pain in the ass 90 minute delay. Though it turned out not being too terrible seeing as the Day 5 disappeared yesterday. I don't know.

This entry is slightly overdue. I wanted to write one Saturday night, but I ended up talking to Amber on the phone later than I had planned. And instead of staying up till like 1 typing it out, I decided to go to sleep. And then last night, by the time I got my e-mail out, and  homework done it was late. And I was already tired from the events of that day.

Anyway. This past weekend I went to Saratoga for the Martial Arts Festival that's held there every year. It was a ton of fun, needless to say. This year there were some very cool people there teaching. Also it was pretty chill rooming with Spargo. So there was no conflict that I had heard about in other rooms. This year though, it felt like I didn't get a very wide varity that I usually get. Probably because of the intensive I took, and the fact that I was with one teacher twice in the same day, which isn't something I usually do. Though of course I came back feeling like I had absorbed things deeper as opposed to just being exposed to a ton of things. I don't know what I like better. Although I really enjoyed the MMA defense, just because it was so much more different than the other stuff I did, which was all more on the traditional side....

actually now that I think of it, the only non-traditional thing I did was the MMA stuff. Everything was Wudang style, and Classical Japanese. OH I lie. I did high energy punching, which was based on Modern science.

Anyway. This trip also seemed to be more drama filled than the other trips. Why? I have NO freaking idea. Secretary was pissed off because a couple people thought the restaurant we went to was too expensive, and because her daughter was ignored. And her daughter was pissed because the person she "Brought up to entertain her" was in my room every chance she could manage. And then there is the tension between the young broken couple that is still there. THEN there's Loud Mouth Boy who just pisses everyone off. And his mother who is frustrating the hell out of the older female crowd. And it's just loads of crap.

I don't know. The drama of the dojo better not touch me, or there will be hell to pay. The dojo is strictly a place in which there is no drama.

The day after (which was a Monday for all those wondering) there was a snowday. So I was able to sleep in a decent amount instead of having to worry about waking up early with none of my homework done. Although I was kinda looking forward to both Creative Writing and Group. None of which happened.

After shoveling I met up with Con and we drove over to the school where we met up with some more people to go sledding. Some of the guys had hooked up ropes to the back of one of their SUVs and we were pulled around on saucers. This was a ton of fun, until we had the bright idea to do a jump off the curb. I had already pulled one off on accident and I got a couple of feet of air. So we thought if it was intentional I'd get some more. So he turned, and I let go of the ropes to hit the curb, and I smashed my tailbone into the curb and was tossed into the snow.

SO freaking painful.

I don't know how I didn't break anything. Everybody was like "omg!" and they're like "Get up and walk!" And as I was laying there, I was afraid too. It would've really been a day killer if I broke/ruptured anything. But I walked out of it just fine. Although for a while I felt like I needed to throw up, and it was hard to breathe. Somehow I managed to then go sledding later with just Con and White Noise and Drummer.

After that we went to Drummer's house to just chill. They had a bunch of plans to like make/finish a movie. But none of it actually happened. They also brushed on the band idea a little bit, but nothing actually happened. Story of our life. Nothing goes as planned.

Anyway. TODAY. Nothing too exciting happened today. Just school. It felt mad rushed. And I was kinda tired. I can't think of anything worth mentioning.

Though after school I drove around a bit. This is always relaxing. I also finally got some pictures of the metal man that was in the trees that I always see. He was pretty cool up front. There was also this metal animal next to him. I think it was like an ant-eater. I'm not 100% sure. There was some cool like wall-paper stuff on the metal man too. I got a bunch of shots from a few angles. Hopefully when it gets warmer, I can get more shots from around that area.

I also had a crazy awkward situation at Borders. What do you say to people that you see all the time, but you never really talk to? You just happen to be walking next to them, going the same direction their going. You acknowledge their existence, but it feels like you don't know each other well enough for a "hello how are you". I don't know. It was odd. But she was the cute one. Ahaha.
